Spam Musubi

I miss Spam so much. Why does it have to be so bad for the human body? WHY?!
Evidently someone made art of me and it’s on the cover of Portland Mercury.
Kinda fucked up that people think they can just use you/your image without permission, huh ?
I’m not sure you have legal standing because I’m not sure if this would be considered “fair use” or not. It’s obviously rude, but since it’s not a blatant copy (instead he remade it with a new medium and even changed aspects of the original) idk how far you’d get were you to pursue legal action. THAT SAID I’ve seen this guy’s work before and he clearly paints images of hot fat chicks he found on tumblr. I think at the very least you could send him a letter asking for proper attribution to be added on his site or wherever. THEN AGAIN, this happened: in 1992, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit “found that an artist copying a photograph could be liable for infringement when there was no clear need to imitate the photograph for parody.”
(Things you learn from teaching copyright law to undergrads.)
Also, from what I recall, the “you shouldn’t be able to use my image” approach (publicity rights) to art/copyright only works if you’re a public figure or otherwise famous.
ETA: oh hmm, maybe you do have some rights here:
“In some states, celebrities cannot sue for misappropriation of name and likeness (on the theory that they have no privacy interest to protect), and non-celebrities may not sue for violation of the right of publicity (on the theory that their personalities have no commercial value). The growing trend, however, is to permit both celebrities and non-celebrities two sue for both misappropriation and violation of the right of publicity, as long as they can establish the relevant kind of harm.”
I can’t say shit about this topic (except that Gluibizzi’s silence on the topic irritates me), because I also appropriate images from the interwebs…so…
Also, I hate strongly dislike Gluibizzi’s work.

- graduated with a BFA in Intermedia from PNCA
- tied with Jakob Vala for the thesis writing award (and I’m still surprised that I was given this honor. Honestly, I read some pretty damn good papers from my class.)
- installed 9 dildos in the BFA thesis show. Last day to see them puppies is…
OMG YAY! I made Petra’s list of things she did! I feel like I should taunt you that I have enough sun to use your matchbook pinhole (which you should make me one, hint hint) but considering how burned I am from climbing to the Hollywood sign, I’ll shut up :)
I should totally make you one! XD
It does require some assembly :/ But that will mostly consist of masking it with tape.

Ectoplasm (by Paul Stebles)
Uhh, this doesn’t look like ectoplasm. It looks like cum from multiple people under blacklight.
Uh…that’s pretty much it. The rest of my time is split between reading/writing/making and being a badass house-spouse: making food from scratch (thanks to food allergies), keeping the budget up to date, paying bills, cleaning house…My life’s not too exciting, but I dig it.
Thesaurus…
Pretty much.
I’m like, “Baby, I can’t read you’re damn writing. I know you’re gonna be a doctor, but goddamn!”
i love her so much.

Adult beverage, anyone?
A survey of alcohol drinking habits in the region conducted by the international think tank Latin American Faculty for Social Sciences or FLACSO, found that Latin Americans average 5.5 liters of pure alcohol per person per year (or about 300 cans of beer) — a modest amount when compared to drinking averages in the United States and Europe, where consumers average 9.4 liters and 13 liters per year, respectively.
