Lisa and I have been talking about the increase of experiences with racism and heterosexism in Portland as compared to Salinas/Santa Cruz. The rise in racist experiences is understandable. I moved from a predominantly non-white community to a white-dominated town. As for heterosexism? What’s the deal, Portland?
