- Response to the sandwich board image by an old friend I previously referred to as “one of the lucky Mexicans”—those who pass for white.*
*I no longer refer to her as “lucky.” Obviously, the sickness of white privilege has made it so she is unable to understand how whiteness adversely and violently affects, not just nonwhites/POCs, but whites as well—those who identify as/or are classified as white.
